The Good Shepherd Lutheran Church is a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. The Lutheran Church is a branch of the historic Christian Church that dates back to Christ and his Apostles. Our denomination traces its particular history to Martin Luther and the Reformers of the 17th Century. There are more than 7 million Lutherans in the United States today spread out across our country.
The Good Shepherd Lutheran Church has been serving God and our community at the corner of Old William Penn Highway and Route 48 in Monroeville since 1955. Our congregation offers a variety of ministries and programs for all ages and interests -- as you will discover here on this website. Some of the highlights of our activities include our educational and youth ministry programs, service opportunities such as serving meals at a shelter for the homeless, and so much more. At the heart of The Good Shepherd Lutheran Church are our services of Word and sacrament. In our worship we hear God's Word and respond to Him with prayer and praise.
We cordially invite you to come and worship with us. There is much that can be learned from our website, but the best way for us to become acquainted with one another is meeting face-to-face. We welcome visitors and we are eager to share our hospitality with you. We hope to see you soon.
May God bless your spiritual journey,
Pastor Eric Ash
